A Grand Slam Outing for D4 Solutions Day at the Ballpark
On August 18th, 2023, D4 Solutions’ employees geared up for a day of laughter, camaraderie, and some good ol' baseball action as we watched the Kane County Cougars take on the Gary Southshore Railcats. It was a game that promised excitement, and boy, did it deliver! The Cougars emerged victorious with an 11 to 3 win.
D4 Solutions employees embarked on a fun-filled journey to the ballpark. You can bet the company had all its bases covered – from transportation to tickets, and even a delicious ballpark meal and drinks. It was such an exciting gift that had our team’s spirits soaring higher than a pop fly ball. You can feel the joy in Senior Account Executive, Ben Hendrikse exclamation “My family and I had so much fun at the ballpark! My kids could not believe we had our own section behind the outfield wall with complimentary food and drink! It was a very special night for them, and something we’ll always remember. I am proud of D4 Solutions for promoting employee engagement and providing families with a fun and free night out with the Kane County Cougars!”
Decked out in D4 Solutions gear, employees were ready to cheer on the Cougars. With hot dogs in one hand and soft drinks in another, they sat under a covered pavilion and watched the action unfold. However, some did a little more than “watch” the action; the son of our Customer Solutions Manager, Yvonne Pidrak actually caught a ball! “He was so happy to receive a ball that he slept with it,” Yvonne explained.
This outing wasn't just about the game; it was about the team bonding experience that brought us even closer together. The day was an amazing opportunity to connect as a company, and the connection could not be better conveyed than with Senior Project Manager, Victoria Kaczmarek’s words “The Kane County Cougar event was a great way for all of us to get to know each other outside of work hours. A lot of the front office was able to meet the night shift crew and socialize in person whereas we normally communicate via email. It was great to put a name with a face.” From Production to IT Team Members, our company was able to take the time to kick back and personally learn more about every member and department of our team which was incredibly motivating and brought us much closer together.
We not only made fun memories and got to know one another better, but according to Dawn Natale-Powalish, “The weather cooperated, the employees were all super helpful, and the food was good.” Additionally, the heart of our CEO, Angelica Kemlage, was warmed hearing how much fun her team had at this outing, and a few of her most fond memories included “The exceptional hospitality of Kane County Cougars, the fun atmosphere, and the D4 Team. I also really enjoyed getting to know the family members of our employees. At end of game, some of us danced to YMCA and enjoyed fireworks.”
The D4 Solutions outing to watch the Kane County Cougars take on the Gary Southshore Railcats was a day of home runs, hilarious moments, and team bonding. We left the ballpark with our spirits high and a renewed appreciation for the joys of being part of the D4 Solutions family!
