D-4 Solutions is a document solutions provider of variable/transactional laser printing, inserting, mailing, and electronic document solutions located in Addison, IL.  As our business continues to grow, we have an immediate opening for a Quality Control Coordinator.  We are seeking a mechanically minded, detail-oriented, problem solver who is interested in building a career in the printing & mailing industry.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Associate is an entry-level position responsible for a variety of assigned manual inserting or printing tasks.   This position is for the first week of the month, and possibly other projects as needed.  Flexible work hours.

‍RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct manual inserting tasks that cannot be performed on a machine
• Seal, meter, and insert documents into envelopes or boxes.
• Collect and review inserted pieces at the end of a production line in accordance with Company standard requirements.
• Return all unused materials (envelopes and paper inventory) back to its original container when job is completed.  
• Monitor paper stock usage, notify supervisor when inventory levels are low and assist with paper stock movements and inventory count, as directed.  
• Complete bundling with banner sheets and continuous monitor quality of printed output.  Remove inserted mail pieces from machines and perform basic inspection for damaged or unsealed envelopes, missing postage, sequence errors or other items identified as being outside of defined standards and guidelines.
• Perform bindery tasks as needed.
• Stack and sort completed materials for mailing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Any combination of training and/or work experience
• Ability to work the first week of the month, possibly more hours as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret instructions and numbers (in English).
